The Freethinkers of Colorado Springs hold that beliefs must be formed on the basis of science and logic instead of emotion, authority, tradition, or dogma. Founded in 1993 in response to Colorado's Amendment Two, the Freethinkers of Colorado Springs advocate the use of reason, defend the separation of church and state, and support human rights, civil rights, tolerance, and equality for all.

Humanist and Freethinkers chat at Paneras Bread , North Academy
Sunday May 19 9:30 to 11 AM
Sunday morning chats have become a strong trend in the Springs non-believer community.
Now its time for the northern end of town to get one also. It will mostly be an informal
session in which people will be free to talk with each other. I expect we will start with 5 or 6 people and grow. I'm going to hope for one of the front areas of the restaurant, but we'll take a couple of tables in the back if need be.

Why a "National Day of Prayer"?

Thursday, May 2nd 2013, was the "National Day of Prayer". For the life of me I can’t figure out why. Prayer seems quite pointless — and not only to me, but to both the scientific community and the Bible.

Nonbelievers excluded from interfaith service, despite humanist community victims in Monday’s bombing

Secular News Daily

April 18, 2013
